What is CrossFit?
CrossFit is a methodology. Constantly varied, high intensity, functional movement, coupled with sound nutrition. This may be an overused term, but it’s a lifestyle. We are committed to creating a culture that encourages that lifestyle and helps our athletes (that’s you guys) maximize their fitness through the methodology, and in turn amplify the impact you can have in all other areas of life outside the gym.
Do I need to be fit to start crossfit?
No, not at all. You don’t become fit to join CrossFit, you join CrossFit to become fit! We’ll coach you through it!
Starting is simple, regardless of whether you're new to all things fitness or have years of experience under your belt, we do our best to make you feel right at home. At our gym, the coaches will help you safely start your CrossFit journey, no matter how fit you are, teach you the foundational movements, and adjust workouts to your fitness level. In a typical one-hour CrossFit class, athletes (that's you!) complete modified versions of the same workout together, and the coach will guide you through step-by-step.

WHAT DOES A CROSSFIT CLASS LOOK LIKE?
A CrossFit class is a one-hour group session led by one of our coaches. Every class will have a Workout of the Day or “WOD" which will be the same workout across all class times for that day. The WOD changes every day, constantly varied to expand your fitness.
You might be nervous, and that’s normal. From what to bring to learning the CrossFit language, we’ll guide you through it.
A typical class at RobCo CrossFit may look like this:
Whiteboard Brief & Class Introduction — To start, you will gather in front of a whiteboard where your coach will walk you through the workout, the movements, and how to scale to your fitness level.
Warm-up — Your coach will take the class through a warm-up to prime your body for the workout ahead.
Skill practice — After the warm up, your coach leads the class through skill work to continue the warm up and dial in technique for the movements that day.
WOD — Once everyone’s ready, your coach will start the clock and the entire class will do the workout together.
Cool down — Fist bumps, sharing scores and stretching to transition you back into your day.
